First test dog to the line for the start of the 10th Series this afternoon was Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco ... Stinker came to the line at 2:31 pm.

Flyer: Past the 1st point, ran down to the 2nd point to her bird.

Left: Out left of the cedars into the pond, across the land bridge, landing under the arc on the far shore, hunted the shore line and then back in channel to the point and the bird.

The next Test Dog up this afternoon for the 10th Series was Pup Pup with handler Phil Heye ....  Pup Pup came to the line at 2:50 pm

Flyer: Across to the first point, past the 2nd point and right to the bird.

Left: Out to the left of the cedars through the 1st pond hitting the land bridge left of the guns, then a hard push right to the land on the far shore under the arc. A few loops on that back shore and then back across the channel to the bird.

**Update**

Change of the Left Bird was made, and a 3rd Test Dog was run.

Chipper and Derek Smith came to the line at 3:07 pm

LB – Came in left of the cedars, across the pond to the bird on the dyke.

The next test dog to the line was Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco ... Stinker came to the line at 11:31 am.

RB – Out left of the rocks and paralleling the road, under the arc, one quick loop and she had her bird.

LB – Between the rocks, she shouldered the hillside, took one deep circle and then back to find her bird.

LB – Left of the rock across the road and under the arc, back across the road and to his bird.

RR –  Between the rocks, shouldered the hillside, under the arc and to his bird!

First test dog to the line for the start of the 9th Series this morning was Pup Pup with handler Phil Heye ....  Pup Pup came to the line at 9:33 am

LB – Angled down the hill across and up under the arc, looped left, then back to right, made a few more loops deep and then back again, into cover at the tree line and found his bird.

RR – Lined out through the valley and crossed the road to the right of the holding blind. A couple of loops and then back across the road to his bird.

The next test dog to the line for the 9th Series this morning was Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco ... Stinker came to the line at 9:39 am.

LB – Angled down the hill across the valley, under the arc and made a few loops in the fall area, then into the cover at the tree line and she found her bid.

RR – Down the hill and across the valley, up left of the brush pile, and carried that line deep for several loops before working back to the bird.

Down the hill and across the road towards the guns, angled right, crossed the road and SMACK!

Down the hill and clipped the end of the mound towards the guns, hooked behind the guns, circled across the road and got his bird.

S (Short)–  Through the slot, over the mound and came back from the right with the bird.

LR (Long Right)– Out to the guns, back across the road and to her bird.

S (Short) –  Through the slot, behind the bush and back out with the bird!

LR (Long Right) – Crossed the road deep of the guns, had a brief hunt and came back with his bird.

First Test Dog up this morning was Pup Pup with handler Phil Heye ....  Pup Pup came to the line at 8:01 am

S (Short) –  Down over the terrace and land bridge, swam to about level with the gunners to the top of the levee and ran down to the corner and found his bird in the lily pads.

L (Long) – Down the terrace into the pond, over the left end of the point, swam towards the gunner, got out by the 2nd dead tree, ran behind the gunners and established a hunt, moved to the corner of the pond and found his bird.

Next test dog to the line was Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco ... Stinker came to the line at 8:10 am.

F –  Down the terrace and  into the pond, she swam through the lily pads past the guns and stayed low and went straight to her bird.

L – Down the terrace to the pond, got in and swam past the long point on a perfect line to her bird – but she missed it and got out for a hunt deep of the bird and left of the guns. Made her way back to the bird and got it.

F – Down through the draw and up to the trees to find his hen.

LB – Into the pond and over land into the 2nd pond, up the hill and to the bird!

F –  Took the draw, went right of the guns, around the trees to the bird.

LB – Into the pond, crossed the point, over the land bridge, into the 2nd pond, up the hill to the 2 trees, right of the gunners and hunted right and deep – got wide right, around the guns and to the bird.

F – Up the terrace in front of the gunners, circled the gunners a few times, moved right to the fall area and hunted it up to get her bird.

L – Straight to the trees and the fall area – Nice!

F – Up the terrace towards the guns, under the arc with a big loop right and he missed it – came back for another big loop and deep this time – circled the guns for awhile and had an extended hunt – guns came out to help him – it was a live bird. (Technically a Pick-up, but they still ran the Left Mark)

L – Right into the fall area and to his bird.

First up was Test Dog Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco ... Stinker came to the line at 11:18 am.

F – Out to the pond and swam towards the guns. Out and to the bird.

L – Into the near corner of the pond, swam towards the guns and made a deep loop and quickly back to the area behind the willow tree for the bird.

F – Into the pond, and out towards the guns – deep. Hunted left and right and then quickly found it.

L – Into the pond and out of the right of the guns, hunted deep and back down to the bird behind the bush.

Into the right hand pond, he swam across at an angle and came in under the arc – turned right into the man-made cover and got his bird. Perfect!

Next up was Test Dog Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco ... Stinker came to the line at 7:37 am.

Down the hill and into the pond she went! She went in near the corner, and came out up and under the arc – made 2 tight loops, went out into the cover and retrieved her bird.

Right – Down to the Right side of the trees and back to the front to get his rooster

Left – To the top of the ridge, turned right and straight out to the bird.

Stinker came to the line at 11:04 am.

Right – Around the tree and she got it!

Left – Out to the top of the ridge and then deep – worked right to the other bird.

First Test Dog up for the 1st Series was Stinker with handler Claudia Rosasco

Stinker and Claudia came to the line at 7:35 am.

Flyer –  She went out to the guns, made a few circles around the gunners and then worked her way out to the bird.

This test took Stinker a little less than 2 minutes to complete 

Retrieving Freedom Presentation  –  7:37 am

John Drach, Director of Operations with Retrieving Freedom was up next to give a brief presentation to all of the handlers and gallery about their program that is headquartered in Iowa and here in Sedalia, MO. Bob Hayden has this location on his property.
