What made you decide to compete in Field Trials?
My husband wanted to run field trials, and once our kids were older he got me "Abby" to see if I too would like this game. Abby is my heart, and I was hooked.
Who are your training partners at home?
Horsetooth Retriever Kennel - Kenny Trott & Marcy Wright, and also new assistant Jake Jones. Plus, all the amateurs in the HRK group are outstanding and offer so much support.
What is the origin of your dog’s name?
Marcy named Kew from her visit to London. The subway there says, "mind the gap" instead of "watch your step". And Kew Palace and Gardens is a favorite stop of the train.
Tell us an interesting story or fact about your dog.
Kew comes with very special ears. Her ears look like I rescued her.
You and your dog have made it through nine series of the National Derby Championship. You are about to come to the line for the 10th series with a chance to win the 2023 National Derby Champion. What song and artist would you want to hear playing as the two of you come to the line?

Down the hill and got a toe in the left corner of the water, angled up the hill on the left, ran behind the guns and made multiple loops behind the guns, out to the cover and she found her bird.
